Central Florida Bank Appoints New Market President

IBERIABANK First Horizon recently announced the appointment of senior vice president, Private Banking Group manager, Lawrence Hatch to market president, Central Florida. Additionally, Alejandro Carrasquel CFP® has joined the market’s growing private banking team as vice president and senior financial advisor. These two appointments illustrate the bank’s continued commitment to the community and serving the evolving needs of clients in the metro-Orlando area.




Hatch previously led the bank’s Central Florida Private Banking Group and has built a team of dedicated professionals, including the most recent hire Alejandro Carrasquel. Now, at the helm of the Central Florida Market, Hatch will oversee balance sheet and income statements of all lines of business in the Central Florida market; including but not limited to consumer, wealth and commercial banking.

Hatch has more than 20 years of banking experience. Before joining IBERIABANK First Horizon earlier this year, he held positions at SunTrust|Truist and Evergreen Investments, a fully owned subsidiary of Wachovia Bank, a Wells Fargo Company. A graduate of the University of Florida, Hatch was the cornerback for the Gator football team who then went on to play in in the National Football League for the New England Patriots before starting his career in banking.

Today, Hatch is an active member of the Central Florida community. In addition to serving as a youth football coach and mentor, he is a member of the Florida Gators Alumni Association and Chairman of the Board for the Assistance Fund, a Not-for-Profit organization that provides under insured individuals with financial assistance for chronic and life-threatening diseases.

Joining Hatch and IBERIABANK First Horizon is Alejandro Carrasquel, vice president and senior financial advisor. Carrasquel will help clients reach their financial goals and meet their wealth management needs by providing holistic advice and financial planning services.

Carrasquel is an accomplished advisor with more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and investment services at companies such as Ameriprise Financial and BBVA Investment Services. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERwho holds series 7, 66, life, health and variable insurance licenses in Florida. A graduate of Rollins College, in Winter Park, Carrasquel earned his bachelor of science in International Business and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
