Orange County deputies have arrested a third suspect in the murder of Lance “Matt” Whitten, a father of four.
Whitten was gunned down on November 25, 2013, shortly after leaving a friend’s home at 7231 Keri Court in Orlando. He was standing in the driveway when he was shot and killed.
Three black males were seen fleeing the area in a black car. Investigators believe that one of them was Calvin McClain, 30, who was arrested in Seminole County today.
The two other suspects, J’Morian Bell, 17, and Antwaun Welch, 22, are already in custody. Both have already been charged with first degree murder in the death of Whitten.
Investigators say, Bell recently entered a guilty pled to attempted homicide in the West Orange High School shooting. And Welch is currently in the Department of Corrections serving a 17-year sentence for robbery.
McClain, like Bell and Welch, has been charged with Whitten’s murder.
