Caregivers, employed by Consulate Health Care, will rally on Tuesday, August 27, at 4:00 p.m. at the Corporate Headquarters of Consulate Health Care, 800 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland, FL 32751.
Caregivers are fighting for fair wages and health coverage, from one of the largest nursing home providers in Florida, which earn health profits.
Even as employees rally for a living wage, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Joseph D. Conte received a pay increase of 109 percent in 2011, making for a salary of $1.3 million. Â And Executive Vice President Eugene Curio got a pay increase of 138 percent in that same year, and now takes home $1.2 million.
Caregivers say, the time has come for Consulate to give them the dignity and respect they deserve!
