Early on Thursday morning, during an attempt to locate a fugitive, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a husband and wife at their residence in Orlando, after they discovered harvested cannabis in the home.
According to OCSO:
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, while attempting to locate a fugitive around 7:00 am, on Thursday morning at 8716 Sandberry Blvd in Orlando, picked up the scent of a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the residence. A search warrant was secured and 112 potted plants along with 8 lbs. of harvested cannabis were recovered. Both of the home owners (husband/wife) returned home during the investigation and were subsequently arrested and charged with cultivation of cannabis and possession of cannabis over 20 grams.
Arrested are: Elizabeth Moody, 26 years and her husband, Robert Newton, 32.
Here we go again. Another LIE about how they found the house. They tell you that because they doent really want to tell you how much they spend a year on trying to find marijuana grow houses. I hear them fly other my house all the time and I know what they are looking for b/c I have a family member in the force. You will notice more activity with choppers during the morning and colder nights.
Doesn’t the police department have anything better to do? Spend more time getting hardcore drug sellers like heroin and cocaine off our streets. It’s a natural plant. I rather run into some one high from smoking pot, than a angry drunk.
I dont smoke myself, but I have a few years ago. I’ve been on both sides and I think its a waste of time and resources. It’s very easy for the police to find people to arrest on simple pot charges, so they need to grow up and go after the big boys. And STOP RUINING GOOD PEOPLES LIVES BY CANNABIS CHARGES.
