Some candidates in the race for Florida House Districts 45 and 46 and one candidate in the Orange-Osceola County State Attorney’s race met for the second 2012 Election Community Conversation hosted by The Experience Christian Center, on Tuesday night.
Two candidates in the Florida House District 45 race, Randolph Bracy, III and Shannon Curry showed up and debated each other for about 40 minutes. Two other candidates in this race, Beryl McClary and Heinie Heinzelman, were not present.
In the Florida House District 46, a lively debate ensued between Jason Henry, Rosalind Johnson, Sean Bradford and Bruce Antone, who will meet in a Democratic primary election on August 14, 2012. One other person in this race, Pastor Pam Powell was not present.
Jeff Ashton, Democratic candidate for State Attorney was the only candidate to turn up, as incumbent Lawson Lamar, who was also invited failed to show up. A surrogate of Lamar’s, Alan Byrd was present.
Lamar, who has been unchallenged for the post of Orange-Osceola State Attorney for the past 24 years, will face off against Ashton in a Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.
The General Election will be held on November 6, 2012.
