Three burglary suspects from Orange County and Osceola County were arrested in Polk County.
Multiple car burglaries occurred at the Champions Vue apartments in the Four Corners area of Davenport. When deputies arrived at the scene, the suspects took off running.
Additional deputies responded, along with K9 Units. After a brief search, the K9 located three suspects trying to hide.
“Our deputies were able to interrupt the burglaries and arrest the suspects rather quickly, in large part because of a witness who saw something, and said something,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. “He reported the suspicious activity immediately to us, and the first deputy arrived on scene within four minutes.”
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the three arrested were:
- 19-year old Angel Ruben Figueroa-Perez of Orlando
- 20-year old Kenneth Hommy Lopez-Rosario of St. Cloud
- 19-year old Dereck Hommy Lopez-Rosario of St. Cloud
All three were taken to the Polk County Jail and charged with: Burglary, Traveling across County Lines to Commit Burglary, Petit Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Wearing a Mask while Committing a Crime, and Resisting.
The Central Florida investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible, according to local law enforcement.
