In an effort to help close a budget gap, the Lake County School Board on Monday approved a four-day workweek–Monday to Thursday–for the period June 20 to August 4, for all 12-month employees. Extended Learning Center employees will not be part of this four-day workweek.
This is the third straight year that the School Board has approved a condensed summer schedule for employees.
The shortened four-day workweek is expected to generate savings of about $128,000.
