The 2013 Buddha’s Birthday Celebration and Festival will take place on May 5th at the Guang Ming Temple, a traditional Chinese imperial style temple located in Orlando, Florida.
This is a celebration that is held annually by Buddhist of every nationality and is known as the Bathing Buddha Festival. The event is open to the public.
Our distinguished guests will be honored during the brief Bathing Buddha ceremony, a beautiful and moving spiritual experience full of pageantry.
After the ceremony, there will be music and entertainment. Food booths will offer participants the opportunity to experience the delicious and carefully prepared Asian-vegetarian cuisines. The tour of the temple will also be available and will offer attendees the story of “The Eight Stages of Buddha’s Life”.
Gates open at 10am. The ceremony begins at 10:30am. Food and festivities will be offered upon completion of the ceremony, beginning at 11:30am
