There’s another new millionaire, as the Florida Lottery announced that Giovanni Salazar, of Cooper City, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH scratch-off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office.
The Broward County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.
Salazar purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 5656 South Flamingo Road in Cooper City. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $50 game, 500X THE CASH, features a top prize of $25 million – the largest ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game – and the best odds to become an instant millionaire. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
Recently, there have been many millionaire winners around Florida, including a Palm Beach County resident, a Miami-Dade County resident, a Tampa man, a St. Lucie County resident, and a Pensacola man.
A Hendry County resident recently won $1,000 a week for life. A Polk County resident from Lakeland won $2 million from a scratch-off, among many others – including an Auburn, Alabama man and a South Carolina man. A Cape Coral resident also found a “lotto” luck with a $41 million jackpot win.
