A British man is in the Brevard County Jail after traveling from London on Saturday, to have sex with whom he thought was a minor, Brevard County deputies said.
39-year-old Shuhel Mahboob Ali, a citizen of Great Britain, was taken into custody on Saturday, as is being held in the Brevard County Jail.
Investigators said, an undercover agent began communicating with Ali in January 2013, who said he wanted to travel to the United States and have a relationship with an underage female. Ali also told the agent that, he wanted to impregnate the victim, so he could begin to groom the children to be abused by him, from birth.
Ali traveled from London, England and arrived last Saturday evening and was immediately arrested in North Brevard County, as he went to the location where he was to meet with the female.
Ali was charged in a criminal complaint with using a facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce to attempt to persuade, induce and entice an individual who had not attained the age of 18 years to engage in sexual activity.
If convicted, Ali faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in jail and up to life imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000.
