A man who robbed a supermarket with a handgun on New Year’s Day is still on the run, Kissimmee police said Tuesday.
The suspect entered the Bravo Supermarket on January 1, at 2618 Boggy Creek Road in Kissimmee before 8:00 a.m., and approached the customer service counter. He showed an employee a handgun he had tucked into his waistband and demanded money. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.
Police say, a gray or silver-colored Nissan Murano was seen on surveillance video circling the parking lot prior to the armed robbery. Investigators believe that the suspect drove or was driven to the supermarket in the vehicle, then fled the area in the same car.
The man is described as a Hispanic male, 5’09” – 5’11”, 26 to 30 years old with facial stubble and wore a grey horizontal stripped hooded sweatshirt/jacket, light colored shirt, red brimmed baseball hat and dark colored pants. He also wore large black aviator style sunglasses.
