BP to Set Aside $20 Billion in Escrow Fund

The Obama administration reached an agreement with BP on Wednesday that the oil giant will establish a $20 billion escrow account, for paying claims to those affected by the oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.  According to news reports, the account will be administered independently by Kenneth Feinberg.

Feinberg oversaw payments to families and victims following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
