Orange County Commissioner S. Scott Boyd (District 1) on Wednesday official broke ground to begin construction for a vital road widening project on County Road 535.
The construction is the final phase of the CR 535 expansion extending from Magnolia Park Ct. to just south of SR 429, the Daniel Webster Western Beltway.
“This is a great day for the residents of southwest Orange County,” said Commissioner Boyd. “This will ease congestion out here and provide much needed relief for the residents and businesses along County Road 535.”
Commissioner S. Scott Boyd was joined by Mark Massaro, Orange County Public Works Director, Tim DeWitt, Dewitt Construction, and Michael Bollhoefer, Winter Garden City Manager, for the groundbreaking.
