A 10-year old boy has died, after being injured when an inflatable tube pulled by a jet ski crashed into a dock on Lake Lulu in Winter Haven.

On Saturday, 10-year-old Hunter Gonzalez, 9-year-old Javier Nunez and David Landajuri, 31, were all in the inner tube which was being towed by a jet ski operated by Juan Nunez, 28.

Investigators said, as Nunez made a right turn on the jet ski, it caused the inner tube and those on it to crash into the dock. The accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. as family and friends gathered for an afternoon outing Saturday at Lake Lulu, on the south end of the Chain of Lakes Complex.

Gonzales, who was critically injured, Sunday afternoon, according to deputies.

Meanwhile, Nunez is listed in stable condition at Tampa General Hospital, while Landazuri remains in critical condition at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Investigators believe that the crash was accidental and impairment does not appear to be a factor.
