Investigators say, the body of a woman missing since February 9, has been found.
Carline Brumaire Jean, 39, was last seen leaving her workplace at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios in Orlando, around 4:30 p.m. Up until yesterday, a search for Jean turned up nothing.
On Monday, a security guard at the royal Pacific Hotel noticed what appeared to be displaced bushes in a rear parking lot behind the hotel, which borders a retention pond. The guard also noticed a Toyota hubcap floating in the water.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit dive team members retrieved Jean’s vehicle from the pond with her body inside. Â The Medical Examiner is yet to make a final determination on Jean’s cause of death. Â Investigators do not suspect foul play.
Jean, who was originally from Haiti, had only driven a couple of times before that fateful day.
The Royal Pacific Resort and retention pond are located in the city of Orlando; Jean’s death investigation has been turned over the Orlando Police Department.
