The body found at a vacant home in the Pine Hills area could be that of a missing 18-year-old teen who was kidnapped on Wednesday.
Although deputies are not confirming yet, that the body is Joshua Johnson, News 13 is reporting that the teen’s grandmother, Patricia Davis says, she believes it is her grandson, based on the description given to her by investigators.
Deputies began searching for Joshua after Davis told them he didn’t return home on Wednesday. Witnesses told deputies they saw Joshua being forced into a minivan, after a fight with several other men.
On Thursday evening, a homeowner went to check on a vacant home at 6709 Meritmoor Circle and found a body, now believed to be the teen. Investigators also said a fire had been set at the residence.
Davis said investigators and the medical examiner are trying to determine the identity of the body through dental records, New 13 also reported.
Joshua would have turned 19 on August 27th.
