The Orange County School Board on Tuesday set out a timeline for the consolidation of Eccleston and Richmond Heights elementary schools in Orlando.
According to the approved timeline, a newly constructed Eccleston Elementary School is slated to open in the fall of 2013.
Public input on the consolidation of the two schools will be garned and the Board is expected to vote on the matter on October 25.
Earlier this month, the Board members discussed how operational expenses might be reduced with the consolidation of the two schools, as well as, increased support and academic services that could be provided by creating a larger Eccleston Elementary School Campus.
