Orlando police are investigating two separate shooting incidents which claimed the lives of two people overnight.
18-year-old Dino Cannon, a black male, was shot and killed in the parking lot outside Club Limelite on 367 North Orange Avenue, investigators said.
It is believed that Cannon and the suspect argued inside the club, before the shooter was escorted out of the Club.
According to police, the suspect waited outside until the Club closed and fatally shot Cannon as he walked in the parking lot, around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning. Cannon was from out of state, police said.
In a separate shooting incident, investigators responded to the Studio Parc Apartments at 4603 Kirkman Road, around 2:00 a.m. Inside an apartment a victim was found unresponsive.
Police have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
Anyone with information on these two homicides is asked to call Crimeline at # 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
Where’s the outrage? Our family knew Dino Cannon. A bright young man lost his life trying to protect his sisters from a thug who chose to use a gun like a coward. Why is it that the Black communities only become upset when a white man kills a black person but turns a blind eye when blacks kill blacks? The African community leaders should be embarrassed for having a double standard when it comes to black on black crime.
I’m outraged too! My son in law knows this family and thats how I found out about it. I think someone knows something and they are not stepping forward. What about the bouncer who threw the shooter out! Someone knows something and its so wrong to keep silent. My heart is so sad for the family especially Dino’s mother and father.
