A bicyclist was killed on Wednesday afternoon after he was run over by a GMC van, Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m., near the intersection of Apopka Vineland Road and Balboa Drive on Orange County’s west side.
Troopers say, Michelle Pringle, 41, of Ocoee was traveling southbound on Apopka Vineland Road, while a male bicyclist was heading northbound in the left turn lane.
Witnesses said, the bicyclist turned into the direct path of the GMC van Pringle was driving.
As Pringle swerved to avoid hitting the 66-year-old man, he was thrown off the bicycle and run over. Â His identity has not been released.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation.
