The parents of a former Dr. Phillips High School student who says he was hazed by a group of football players at the school, will sue the Orange County School District.
Rev. Porter Denson, the father of 15-year-old Darrion Denson, who said he was punched, chocked and beaten by several players on September 8, which stemmed from him being in the Varsity locker room, says he is outraged with the approach the school district is taking to his son’s hazing. One player has been suspended from the school on account of the incident, clickorlando.com reports.
Orange County School District attorney Diego Rodriguez, at a news conference Thursday, suggested that the picture painted by the Densons and their attorney, as to what happened to Darrion, is not accurate. Rodriguez claimed that there is no medical proof that Darrion was attacked by more than one person.
But, Denson’s father said that the medical records prove his son suffered a concussion, after been punched and beaten by several players. He plans to move ahead to sue the school district.
