One of Orlando’s newest neighborhoods is booming with construction once again. Baldwin Park, a community built on the former Naval Training Center, is a hotbed of building activity right now. Housing choices range from grand custom homes to cozy apartments.
In a sign that things may be turning around – at least in some areas – the Baldwin Park community looks to be expanding lakefront property, apartments and homes at a fast pace. Construction continues on New Broad Street, known for its larger-scale mansion-like homes, as well as close to the lakes and even throughout the neighborhood new multi-family buildings are on the rise.
The addition of hundreds of new housing units comes at a time when analysts predict a turn in Florida’s housing market. Baldwin Park offers a wide range of housing choices, great schools, parks, lakes, shops and restaurants which developers say “make Baldwin Park one of Orlando’s most desirable places to live, work or visit.” Today the 1,100-acre neighborhood is home to 8,000 residents and more than 125 businesses.
