Republican Gov. Rick Scott offered a ringing endorsement of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, when he announced the expansion of AgileThought in downtown Orlando on Monday.
Scott praised Dyer as a “great mayor” as he announced the 15 jobs AgileThought would create with its full-service mobile application and software consulting firm.
Dyer, a Democrat, returned the compliment by being the first to clap when Scott, one of the most controversial figures in Florida politics, offered his full-throated endorsement of him.
In an election year, you would think that such ‘back slapping’ would be a no-no in Democratic politics. But perhaps not.
Dyer, known as a “Chambercrat” because his policies align closely with the Chamber of Commerce and for his anti-Democratic positions, may have more in common with Scott than first blush.
Who’d have thunk it?
