The body of a baby boy tumbled out of dirty laundry of a cleaning service that handles bed sheets for several hospitals in St. Paul, Minnesota, startribune.com reported.
Police were called to Crothall Laundry in Minnesota, just before 12:30 p.m., but the body had already been picked up by someone from the hospital and returned to St. Paul, Red Wing Police Chief Roger Pohlman said Tuesday night, the paper also reported.
“What we have is that when they were preparing the laundry, a baby had fallen out of a sheet, and that they had called the hospital where the laundry had come from, and that they immediately sent people down to pick it up,” Pohlman said. “It was after this had taken place that we received a call.”
Police are treating the incident as a “death investigation.”
