A 14-year-old girl, struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday night, has died.
Julianne Hobbs, of Deland, was walking along Spring Garden Avenue near Jeanette Drive, in Volusia County, when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Julianne was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center in critical condition, but died earlier today.
Another 14-year-old Rachael Russell who was walking with Julianne sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Troopers said, they are still trying to determine what happened and whether or not the crash was intentional.
“We have no description of a vehicle other than the vehicle may have front end damage and may have windshield damage,” a statement from Florida Highway Patrol said.
