Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies are are requesting the help of the public to track down a man who has robbed six Family Dollar stores over an eight month period. Authorities said that the suspect is armed and considered dangerous.
According to law enforcement, on August 7, 2010 at about 8:40 pm, a suspect described by victims as a black male, 6’00” to 6’02”, 220 to 240 lbs, in his 30’s, with short hair entered the family dollar store located at 3015 South Rio Grande Avenue and demanded money while making threats with a firearm. After the robbery the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
Including the August armed robbery, since December 2nd, 2009, there have been six Family Dollar store robberies in the Central Florida area where the same suspect has been involved.
The suspect has been observed wearing a black wig or baseball cap during the other cases and has acted alone.
The suspect is armed with a firearm and he is considered dangerous.
