Apopka Woman who Suffers Seizure, Killed in Crash

A female driver was killed Saturday afternoon, when she suffered a seizure and crashed into  two parked vehicles in separate driveways, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Brenda L. Shepherd Moody, 55, of Apopka, was pronounced dead at the Florida Hospital, following the crash which occurred west of Central Avenue just before 4:45 p.m.

Troopers say, Shepherd Moody, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee, lost control of the vehicle when she had a seizure and entered the driveway at 44 W. 10th Street.   She struck an unoccupied, parked Ford in the driveway and continued on to hit a wooden fence. Shepherd Moody also struck another occupied, parked vehicle, a 2002 Ford Escape, located in a driveway at 48 W. 10th Street.

Shepherd Moody was transported to Florida Hospital in Apopka, where she was pronounced deceased.

Clinton Shepherd, 56, a passenger in the Jeep Cherokee, was unhurt.

Barbara S. Jackson, the driver of a 2002 Ford Escape, was also unhurt.  But, a passenger in this vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Troopers say, the crash remains under investigation.
