Another Young Guns defendant has been indicted on first-degree murder in Florida.
The Putnam County Grand Jury heard the case of Ramon Gomez-Hernandez last week. The defendant, who was only 16 years old at the time, is accused of driving up to a planned fight on Kane Road in Palatka and shooting three people on June 30, 2023.
One of the victims died from his injuries while being rushed by a witness to the hospital.
The indictment was handed down on Friday morning. Gomez-Hernandez was charged with First-Degree Murder (Firearm), two counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder (Firearm), Aggravated Assault (Firearm) and In-State Delinquent in Possession of Firearm, Electric Weapon or Concealed Weapon.
The case was investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Mark Johnson is the prosecutor assigned to the homicide case.
