A 23-year-old man was shot and killed on south Cottage Hill Road on Monday and Orlando Police officers have a suspect in custody.
Police responded around 1:33 pm, on Monday to 500 south Cottage Hill Road near Joe Louis Drive, in Orlando where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, Andrew Jared Wright, 23, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Robert Williams, 22 years, the shooter was taken into custody at the time of the incident.
Williams has since been charged with first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked into the Orange County Jail.
Police are still trying to determine the motive for the murder and the case is still being investigated.
Today’s shooting brings the number of homicides in Orlando to 17 to date, for 2010.
