Amway Center Earns Nearly $1M Profit in First Year

The Amway Center has earned a profit in its first year of operation.

The state-of-the art sports and entertainment facility which opened its doors on October 1, 2010, brought in $998,913 in operating net income, bizjournals.com reports.

Over the course of the year, the Amway Center has been host to 200 different events, including the highest grossing arena concert in Orlando’s history–Lady Gaga–and numerous sporting events and family shows. More than 1.4 million patrons have passed through its doors in its first year.

A community venue, located in West Orlando, the Amway Center serves as a powerful economic driver for local businesses and spurring new private investment in the area.
