Amtrak launched a fare sale on the iconic Auto Train, as low as $34 for adults and $17 for kids ages 2-12, plus the cost of the vehicle. All Aboard – including your vehicle!
Amtrak is giving customers the opportunity to skip the airport security line, and nearly 900 stressful miles of driving on I-95 with discounted fares on the Auto Train. For a limited time, Coach Class tickets are as low as $34 for adults and $17 for kids ages 2-12, plus the cost of the vehicle.
The Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service between Lorton, Virginia, (near Washington, D.C.) and Sanford in Central Florida (near Orlando). Customers can travel with several types of vehicles – including cars, vans, motorcycles, SUVs, small boats, jet skis and more. This is the only such service in the U.S.
In addition to relieving the stress associated with road trips and flights, traveling by train is one of the most sustainable modes of transportation. When traveling on Amtrak, customers can decrease their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 83% compared to driving and 72% compared to flying.
Customers traveling in Coach Class enjoy wide, comfortable reclining seats with plenty of legroom, no middle seats and a big picture window to enjoy the view. Cafe Service is available for customers to purchase meals, snacks and beverages. Prior to arrival, a complimentary continental breakfast is served.
For extra comfort and privacy, customers can book a First Class private room – offering priority boarding, complimentary meals onboard, a dedicated First Class attendant and newly upgraded bedding, pillows, towels, and linens. Accommodation options include a Roomette – featuring two comfortable seats that transform into upper and lower beds by night – or a Bedroom offering twice the space of a Roomette as well as an in-room sink, restroom and shower.
