Amtrak launched a fare sale on Auto Train — allowing travelers between Florida and the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast to skip the hassles and stress of I-95 as well as high gas prices. Tickets — as low as $39, plus the cost of your vehicle — are available for purchase through August 23rd.
The Amtrak Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service between Lorton, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Florida (near Orlando). Customers can skip I-95 and travel with their vehicles, including cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles and even small boats or jet-skis. This is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and all points in Florida.
Customers traveling in Coach enjoy wide, reclining seats with plenty of legroom, no middle seats ever and a big picture window to enjoy the view. Prior to arrival, a complimentary continental breakfast is served.
A Roomette features comfortable seating, newly-upgraded bedding, pillows, towels and linens, and a dedicated service attendant. An upgrade to a Bedroom offers twice the space as a Roomette as well as other added amenities. Customers in these private rooms enjoy a complimentary dinner and continental breakfast onboard.
Limited Time Fares: (plus the cost of your vehicle)
Coach – $39 (one traveler) or $78 (two travelers)
Roomette – $249 (one traveler) or $349 (two travelers) – double occupancy required
Bedroom – $449 (one traveler) or $549 (two travelers) – double occupancy required
The Auto Train offer is valid for sale until August 23rd for northbound travel from Sanford, FL, to Lorton, VA. Travel dates are from Sept. 6 – Dec. 15, 2022. Blackout dates are Nov. 18–20 and Nov. 25–27. This offer is available on Amtrak.com and the Amtrak app.
