Puerto Rican/Latino and Black activists have announced a Press Conference for 1:00 PM Tuesday September 20 at !Oh Que Bueno Restaurant located at 1125 South Semoran Blvd. Orlando, Florida 32807.
Conference will announce new supporters and new plans which will bring additional resources and groups to the fight for fair Districts for minorities. Members will be available to answer questions about the Process to date and going forward and the determination of the groups to work together to ensure that appropriate minority representation is achieved in Orange County and it’s political sub-divisions.
The fact that ALL of the plans adopted in a bizarre voting process by the County Redistricting Advisory Board has galvanized the community in the wake of now probably false assurances that the voice of Boricuas/Latinos be heard. Click on attachment for more info.
We urge the Black and Latino Community to attend in force the next and last Redistricting Advisory Committee Meeting on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Orlando County Commission Chambers.
