AirTran begins Flying from Orlando to Jamaica

Orlando’s hometown carrier, AirTran Airways, added new service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

With the soothing sounds of a tropical steel drum band playing in the background, AirTran treated the inaugural flight’s passengers to a festive atmosphere, tropical smoothies and goodie bags while AirTran crew members danced and entertained the crowd. AirTran will operate the flight four days a week from MCO using a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 137 passengers.

Orlando International Airport has more non-stop domestic destinations than any other airport in Florida.
