Two men who battered the store manager and a customer at an ABC Liquor Store on Friday night remain on the run, as deputies continue their search for them.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the ABC Liquor Store at 5895 S. Orange Blossom Trail around 10:36 pm in Friday night, after receiving a report of a fight/disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies determined that the store manager and a customer had been severely beaten with blunt objects by two men.
Based on their investigation, deputies determined that two suspects had attempted to purchase alcohol from a store employee and became upset when asked to produce identification. The men left the store and returned with a hammer, chased down the store employee and struck him in the head. A customer who tried to intervene on behalf of the employee, was also attacked and beaten. After battering their victims, the suspects fled the store and remain at large.
The victims were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, with serious injuries but non-life threatening injuries.
Descriptions of the suspects are limited at this time. It is believed that the suspects are Hispanic males.
