Aaron Kissler has been appointed the new administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Lake County. Since July 2012, Kissler has served as the administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Gadsden County.
“Aaron Kissler is an outstanding addition to the Florida Department of Health in Lake County,” said Meade Grigg, Deputy Secretary for Statewide Services. “The Department is pleased to have a proven leader with Mr. Kissler’s qualifications and experience to serve the people of Lake County.”
Prior to his role as administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Gadsden County, Kissler served in Broward County as Environmental Health Specialist and in program evaluation for the Healthy Start Douala program at the University of South Florida. He was the project coordinator at UCLA, a Hurricane Katrina field director and the GIS manager at the University of South Carolina.
Kissler graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and earned his Master of Public Health Degree with a concentration in Environmental Health from the University of South Florida.
