It took only a few hours for a man who was released from jail to rob a convenience store, over the week-end, Orlando police said.
46-year-old Derrick Daniels was apprehended shortly after he robbed a Circle K at 401 N. John Young Parkway, just before 10:00 a.m.
Cops said, Daniels, who had been released from prison a few hours earlier on armed robbery charges, walked into the Circle K and demanded $40.00 from the cashier. He held a brown paper bag in his hand suggesting he had a gun, police also say.
The cashier, in fear for his life, handed over the money to Daniels, who fled the store heading east on Washington Street.
Daniels was apprehended by police shortly thereafter.
Police say, Daniels had ditched the white shirt he was wearing when he robbed the Circle K, for a purple one.
Daniels has been charged with armed commercial robbery and booked into the Orange County Jail.
