Orlando police have arrested a second teen in connection with the fatal shooting of Maximo Carreno Cortes at The Villages Apartments on Millenia Boulevard.
19-year-old Bryon Killins was arrested in Ocala, Florida, and charged with first degree murder, accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence, among other charges.
Carreno Cortes was gunned down in the parking lot of The Villages Apartments near Millenia Mall on December 28, just before 12:30 a.m. It is unclear whether robbery was the motive for the shooting.
Killins is the second suspect arrested. Earlier, 18-year-old Robert Burton was was taken into custody. He has been charged with first degree murder and attempted robbery.
Police have not said whether any other suspects are being sought in Carreno Cortes’ murder.
