A teenager was arrested Thursday, charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of a Cocoa man on Merritt Island on Monday.
Members of the GAMEOVER Task Force of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office took 19-year-old Devonte Bradley, of Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island into custody earlier today, after a brief standoff. A tip led detectives to a residence in Cocoa where Bradley was found.
Investigators say, Bradley shot and killed 21-year-old Evander Tinsley of Cocoa on Monday, September 24. Investigators also say, Tinsley’s murder was premeditated.
Bradley surrendered without incident and was taken into custody. He has been charged with first degree premeditated murder and was transported to the Brevard County Jail. Bradley is being held without bond.
Investigators have not released any details regarding the motive for the killing.
