Gospel Now Fest 2012 Announced

The Second Annual Gospel Now Fest will be held on Saturday, October 13th at the Central Florida Fair Grounds at 4603 West Colonial Drive in Orlando.

Gospel Now Fest exists to establish and cultivate a unique platform fostering the facilitation of community awareness, the engagement of corporate and community partnerships, and the presentation of diverse opportunities for civic participation and community cohesion. The first annual Gospel Now Fest convened at 3:00PM on October 16, 2011, at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, located at 4603 West Colonial Drive in Orlando. The convenient, open-air venue served as host facility for a demographically and culturally diverse group of 2,800 African-American, Latino, Hatian, and Caucasian attendees from throughout Central Florida. The family event welcomed youth of all ages to senior adults who enjoyed regional food and merchandise vendors, children’s bounce houses, face-painting, and community service organizations. The afternoon of family fun, entertainment, inspiration and empowerment captivated the energetic and excited crowd for 5 hours, featuring award-winning, chart-topping, national recording artists, Deitrick Haddon and Martha Munizzi, alongside local gospel powerhouses, LaRue Howard, Madelyn Berry, Angel Louis, and 20 other praise teams, soloists, dancers and comedians from around the state of Florida.

The moderately priced, ticketed, for-profit event is the one-of-a-kind gospel production hosted by Gospel Now Magazine’s founder, Mercier Smith along with event partners, Anthony-Smith Law, and Darren Spencer’s Morris Management Group.

The 2012 Gospel Now Fest proposes to attract 5,000 multi-racial attendees from throughout Central Florida, as event founders promote the Message for central Floridians to “Get Out the Vote.” Gospel Now Fest 2012 will capitalize on the opportunity surrounding the local and national 2012 elections, to motivate political participation and encourage voter turn-out. This monumental event will also provide an opportunity for face-to-face political engagement between politicians and voters, as well as the distribution of campaign material.

Gospel Now Fest 2012 will be promoted utilizing the same mediums used to promote Gospel Now Fest 2011; including, but not limited to billboards, radio and television outlets throughout central Florida, Social Media and Internet promotions, local and statewide newspapers, handbills, posters, magazines, participating national artist’s websites, sponsors’ websites, central Florida businesses, churches, community service organizations, and Gospel Now Magazine.

Gospel Now Magazine continues to connect businesses, churches, families, and communities; educating, empowering, and inspiring, while motivating through civic participation, humanitarian engagement, and philanthropic endeavors, with the singular intention of strengthening the bond of community cohesion throughout central Florida.
