Gov. Rick Scott plans an announcement about defense industry jobs coming to Cape Canaveral.
The project is code named Hammer, but details haven’t been publicly released yet.
The governor will make the announcement following a morning sit-in on the base commander’s meeting at Patrick Air Force Base. Later this afternoon, Scott will participate in a roundtable discussion of the defense industry’s impact on the economy in Florida at Brevard Coummunity College in Cocoa.
