Sanford police are investigating a homicide which left a man dead in the 2600 block of Marshall Avenue.
The deceased is 37-year-old Tyrone Montgomery.
According to investigators, Montgomery returned to his residence in the 2600 block of Marshall Avenue on Thursday afternoon with an injury. He was taken to the Central Florida Regional Hospital where he was treated, before being pronounced dead aroung 5:00 p.m.
Homicide investigators worked the crime scene gathering evidence and conducting interviews with neighboring residents.
Authorities has not disclosed the nature of Montgomery’s injury, but say they are investigating his death as a homicide.
