Brighthouse Sports Network has named senior Jack Orchard its Orange County Men’s Water Polo Player of the Year. Orchard, who has signed to attend the United States Naval Academy, led the Panthers to District and Metro West Conference Championships this year and is a virtual lock to be named All-America again. He will be invited to attend the Brighthouse Sports Network Breakfast of Champions at the Citrus Bowl Wednesday May 30th at 7:30 am. Orchard will be joined by Bridget Blake (Cross Country) and Nick Patti (Football).
Junior Bridget Blake was named one of the Orlando Sentinel’s Athletes of the Week. Blake won the Track and Field State Championship in both the1600m and 3200m, her 5th and 6th career statechampionship. This is the third time Blake has been honored this year and the tenth DP athlete to earn the award.
