Daytona Beach police are searching for two suspects who carjacked a man at gunpoint early on Sunday morning.
The victim told investigators he had stopped to purchase gas at the Citgo Gas Station at 600 W. International Speedway Boulevard, around 1:00 a.m., when he was approached by two black male suspects asking for a ride. One of the suspects told the victim that his vehicle had broken down nearby.
After driving the suspects for several blocks, one of them pulling a gun on the victim demanding the vehicle. The suspects then demanded the victim exit the vehicle possibly in the area of Frederick and Sheridan.
The suspects ordered the victim into the trunk of the vehicle at gunpoint, but he was able to escape from the moving car.
The victim’s vehicle is a white 2008 Chevy Impala with dark tint, bearing VA tag KFZ7079 and a yellow inspection sticker in the front windshield.
Suspect 1 was a black male, age late 20’s, dark complexion, short hair, gold teeth wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Suspect 2 was a black male, age mid to late 20’s, light complexion, gray beanie & gray hoodie, possible dreads and mutton chop sideburns and moustache.
