Fourteen people have been arrested for their roles in a drug trafficking organization operating in Orange and Seminole County.
The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) said, the 14 suspected drug traffickers produced fraudulent prescriptions and are responsible for diverting over 13,000 oxycodone pills and over 4,000 xanax pills.
The arrests was part of “Operation Slipped Script” which began four months ago.
Authorities said, the suspects used the names of several Central Florida doctors on the prescriptions.
Today, MBI, Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement rounded up the suspects and seized counterfeit resistent paper capable of producing an additional 1,000 fraudulent prescriptions.
The suspects were charged with numerous counts, including trafficking in 28 or more grams of Oxycodone; trafficking in 14 or more grams of Oxycodone; manufacturing and possession counterfeit prescription blanks and possession with intent to sell and deliver controlled substances, among other charges.
Authorities said, more arrests are underway.
