All American Café New Location Bigger and Better

All American Café is not new to the neighborhood. For eight years it was located at the corner of Kaley and South Ferncreek just across from Kaley School. Though I only live a few short blocks away, I never went there for breakfast or lunch. Others complained there wasn’t enough parking and I personally did not like that the eating area was outside.

Recently it moved to the old Beef O’ Brady’s that was never that appealing to begin with. Part of the reason was it was a little too dark, and the food and service were never something to recommend. All American Café changed all of that when it recently opened in its new location. If you are a little confused find the Winn Dixie on Curry Ford and Crystal Lake and you are there. There is plenty of parking galore in the shopping center of the Family Dollar store.

The overall look inside is much brighter and the counter is a more appealing place to sit and have a great cup of coffee and conversation with other patrons.

The three egg omelets are a wonderful combination of different ingredients including bacon, ham or sausage for $6.80, for $6.80 you can also get the Italian consisting of salami and ham. If you are like a friend of mine, you might try the corned beef hash creation for $7.99. I recently indulged in a western with cheese for $6.80 that was more than enough for one person. Served with your choice of grits, or home fries and toast, biscuit, or English Muffin you just cannot go wrong.

On Saturday and Sunday there is a buffet that runs all day. I was in on a Sunday with a friend and tried it and have to say it is worth the price of $9.99. There is so much they offer and you can have as much as you care to eat.

With another friend I was there for lunch and had a great cheese burger with fries that was very filling for the price of $6.55. I have to also comment on the service that was excellent. I am a stickler for re-fills and All American Café servers are there before I can empty my cup of coffee or tea and they always are there with a smile.

They serve a number of pizzas, calzone and stromboli combinations that sound delicious and there is catering available.

They also have a blueberry or cinnamon muffin that is the perfect snack with a hot cup of coffee. I was told the way they serve it, they cut the muffin in half, add some butter, then cook it in a pan to make it a much more enjoyable experience.

Presently open for breakfast and lunch I am told that will be changing in the near future where they will also serve dinner.
