A man believed to have killed his live-in girlfriend, will make a first appearance in court later today.
Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies say, 25-year-old Jorge Nieves murdered his girlfriend, Karla Gladiris Barreto Pagan, 28, at the Mystic Cove Apartments in Oviedo, on Friday.
Deputies believe, a domestic dispute inside the home let to Barreto Pagan’s murder.
Deputies received a 911 call around 12:30 a.m., from a family member who reported a “suspicious incident” at the apartment.
Deputies found Barreto Pagan dead inside a bedroom, shortly after arriving at the apartment.
Nieves, injured, was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
Nieves was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility upon his release from hospital over the weekend. He has been charged with second degree murder and is set to make a first ourt appearance Monday at 3:30 p.m.
