Deputies are investigating the murders of two women, in separate incidents, that occurred earlier on Tuesday, in Winter Haven and Lake Wales.
Polk County investigators say, a deceased adult white female was found around 5:00 a.m., in a car at the end of a cul-de-sac near Varner Drive in Winter Haven. The deceased lived in the 900 block on Sunshine Way SW in Winter Haven.
In a separate homicide, detectives went to a home just after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, in the 4800 block on Wales Street in Lake Wales, attempting to contact the residents. Instead, investigators found a deceased adult female in the home.
Investigators say, the woman was also the victim of a homicide.
Deputies have not released the names of the women or how they were killed. Authorities have stressed that, both homicides are unrelated.
The investigations are continuing.
