An Orlando motorcyclist was killed in Orange County Saturday afternoon when a young driver crossed into the direct path of the Yamaha Mitsubishi.
The accident happened on Colonial Drive near Cupid Avenue just after 3:00 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said, a 2003 Toyota, driven by 21-year-old Jessica Musch, of Christmas, was traveling north on Cupid Avenue when she attempted to travel across the eastbound lanes of Colonial Drive.
That’s when Musch drove into the direct path of an unnamed motorcyclist, 26, who was traveling eastbound on Colonial Drive. The front of motorcycle struck the left side of the Toyota.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
Musch suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

RIP Josh you will be missed by many!!!!
I was on that road after it happened and traffic was being redirected around the scene of the accident by the highway patrol. The Toyota had ran off the road and was sitting down hill by the treeline. She must have lost control. Later, when the lanes were being opened, I drove by the motorcycle. It was black, lying on it’s side and in a hundred pieces, only the main frame looked intact. There is no way he could have survived that type of impact, and I’m sure he went quickly. I ride a bike myself and this accident should not have happened. I bet the driver of the Toyota was on her cell phone because there’s no way she could have not seen that big motorcycle on that road, it was a bright, clear day and not much traffic was on the road…she gets no sympathy from me!
Let me just say this………the Toyota DID NOT lose control, the vehicle was pushed across all those lanes of traffic, which goes to show how fast the motorcyclist was driving. Has anyone put themselves in the Toyota drivers shoes? The phone was not being used, so there was no calls or texting involved. There was a car in the turn lane for the store entrance and the motorcycle was just at the right angle beside or behind that car, which is why she did not see him. This was just an unfortunate accident. And HELMETS should always be worn.
toyota shoes what???? she gets to walk in her shoes and live. not poor josh!!!!
Wynn, Mr. Joe, and JoVonna,
I’ve just heard the news and it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I can’t imagine what you could be going through right now. I didn’t know Josh personally, but I feel as if I did through his mother. I do know that Josh was loved. Wynn I will keep you and the family in my prayers. We here at the City of Savannah send our condolences out to you…. so sorry for your loss. I’ll be in touch!!
Josh Davis was a good young man with a passion for making people laugh and fixing cars. For whatever the reason. his life was taken way too early. I am his cousin and I will tell you that he will be missed tremendously. Because of how he died, my emotions run the gamut from upset, anger, frustration, disbelieve and everthing between. I also have christian compassion for the young lady who ran into Josh. We must all deal with the consequences of our actions and her burden is going to be heavy.
My family is strong and our faith in God runs deep. During this time, please send your prayers to Wynn, Joe and Jovana…….
Miss you buddy! RIP
To Josh’s family. I was acquainted with Josh through my brothers. I must say thank you for raising such a wonderful young man. He touched our lives with his love and kindness. We will honor him by living a life that is full of these attributes.

My heart will forever be saddened by the death of my homeboy. My heart goes out to his family and our other friends who will be left behind with wonderful memories of such a great man. Let this be an example that we are truly living in our last days, take an extra moment to tell the people who truly matter to you that you love them, and hug all your loveones just a bit tighter.
I did not know him at all, but I do know that Erwin Bligen is suffering this loss, and I love him so very much. My prayers are with him and his Family. I pray God to send a comforter to the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with and and to all his family as well. I can’t wait till I meet all of you!
Im so sorry Josh I was not there!! We were suppose to go riding that Sunday after i got back to FL like we talked about on the 25th. I wish i was with you homie. I can not stop thinking about you and all our times together. I miss you so much and i hope you are at the Gates waiting for me when i come home. I love you!!
I am sorry mainly for the family’s lost of a loved one. I do feel sorry for all parties involved, for that is a heavy wound to carry. I didn’t not know any one, I was traveling west bound on 50 on the day of the accident. The authorities had not arrived to the scene yet. Even though I could not see the motorcyclist face I could tell he was young. My family things about him often as myself, husband and my 13 year old daughter saw the deceased, we said a prayer for him and his family. I do know when trying to cross 50 at that time of day the sun makes visibility extremely difficult. I hope that others learn from this accident and realize if you cannot see REPOSITION YOURSELF, do not just take a chance to cross. I have several times crossed at this intersection and just simply made a right and then make a u-turn to complete my desired direction.
