The chairman of the House Education Committee said he will hold hearings on higher education reforms in December.
Rep. Bill Proctor, R-St. Augustine, the chairman of the House Education Committee, said he and committee staff have spent time looking “at all the various plans,” referring to the reform proposals suggested in Texas and responses to it in Florida.
“We’re still studying them, still trying to get a grip on all of them.”
While noting there was no “exact schedule,” Proctor said he expects some type of hearing specifically on higher education during the Dec. 5 committee week.
