Brazilian Group to Open Energy Drinks Facility in Palm Beach

The governor’s office announced Monday that a Brazilian group plans to build a Palm Beach County plant that will make guarana energy supplements and create 75 jobs over the next three years.

Gov. Rick Scott is on a trade trip to Brazil, and made the announcement there.

The America’s Natural Caffeine partnership plans to lease a facility at the Port of Palm Beach to manufacture the guarana supplement for the food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Guarana, which is a fruit, is a stimulant – with about twice the caffeine found in coffee – that is commonly used in a number of energy drinks, such as RockStar and SoBe Adrenaline Rush.
